What you could earn
From £125 a job. Move the sliders.
A standard job is booked at about 45 minutes. Some jobs pay more, like BMW gearbox tuning. Paid weekly or monthly, with tuning files supplied free.
Before your own costs (fuel, insurance, tools). How many jobs you get depends on demand where you work. Not a promise of income.

How the Remaps UK engineer system works
Ten steps from the advert we pay for to the money in your account. You do the part you're good at, which is the remap, and the system does the rest.
Our office finds the job and sells it

We run and pay for the Google and Meta adverts that bring the enquiries in. You do no marketing of your own.

Our office speaks to the customer, works out what the car needs and gives them a price. You never make a sales call.
The booking lands in your calendar

That finds the engineers who cover their area and shows them the price for the work.

It matches on where they are, what the job needs and who is free.

Your own calendar and the Remaps UK calendar, both. Only slots you're free for are offered.

They pick a date and time and confirm it themselves. Nobody has to ring anyone back.

What happens after I apply?
We read it and come back to you either way. If there's something open near you, the next step is a conversation and then meeting at JF Automotive in Maidstone, or on a job, so you can see how the files and the booking system actually work before anyone commits to anything.
What does it cost to join?
Nothing. There's no joining fee and no monthly fee. You need your own vehicle, insurance and tools. If you don't have the tools yet, JF Automotive can supply them, with free training and finance available.
How much will I earn?
From £125 a job, and some jobs pay more, like BMW gearbox tuning. You're paid weekly or monthly, and the tuning file for every job is supplied free. How many jobs you get depends on demand where you work.
Do I need remapping experience?
No. If you're new to it, JF Automotive can train you. If you already remap, tell us on the form what you work on.
Do I need my own tools?
Yes, and the form asks which ones. If you haven't got them, JF Automotive sells the tools we use, with free training when you buy and finance available. If you're part way there, say so and we'll tell you straight whether it's enough to start.
Do I need premises?
No. It's a driveway job, so a van and somewhere to keep it's the whole of it. Anything that genuinely needs a ramp or the rolling road goes to JF Automotive in Maidstone.
What if my county isn't covered yet?
That's the point of the list above. Apply anyway. Most of the country has no engineer on it, and an application from an area we had not prioritised is often what makes us prioritise it.
