What an economy remap actually changes
Torque where you drive, not where you do not
Most driving happens between idle and 3,000 rpm. An economy file moves the torque into that range, so the engine holds a speed or climbs a hill with less throttle and fewer gear changes. Peak power is left alone or raised a little, but it is not the point of the file.
A lighter, calmer car
You need less pedal to do the same job, an automatic changes down less often, and a van no longer needs third gear for the hill it used to need third for. Whether the fuel figure moves depends on how you drive it afterwards, so we do not promise a percentage.
Diesels, vans, miles
An economy file earns its money on a turbo diesel doing motorway miles or carrying a load. On a petrol, especially one without a turbo, the gain is small, and we will tell you that rather than sell you one.

Enter your registration and you will see your engine's standard power and torque and what a Stage 1 file gives it. An economy file for the same engine moves the torque lower and is quoted the same way.
If yours is not listed yet, that does not mean we cannot tune it. We will tell you plainly rather than quote a figure we cannot stand behind.

Economy remapping, the questions we get asked
How much fuel will I save?
We do not promise a percentage, because the honest answer is that it depends on the engine and on how you drive it afterwards. A diesel driven the same way after an economy file usually uses a little less fuel. One driven harder because it now can does not. Nobody can honestly promise you a fixed saving.
Do I lose power?
No. Peak power is left alone or raised slightly. What changes is where the torque arrives, which is lower down the rev range, so the car needs less throttle to hold the same speed.
Is it worth it on a petrol?
Rarely on a naturally aspirated one, and we will tell you so. On a turbo petrol there is a case for it if the car does a lot of motorway miles.
Can I have both economy and performance?
A Stage 1 performance file already moves torque lower down and often improves cruising economy on a diesel. If you want the most you can get without giving up either, that is usually the answer. Performance tuning is here.
